Do I have to change my Advantage Plan?

 

You do not have to change your Medicare Advantage plan. However, there are a few things that could happen that could make you want to change plans.

• Your plan could change. Medicare Advantage plans are allowed to change their premiums, copays, and other benefits each year. Also the plan that you are currently in may not be available the following year. For that reason it would be a good idea to speak with an agent from Lon's to review your plan and to make sure that its still meeting your needs.
• You could move. If you move to a new area, your Medicare Advantage plan may not be available in your new location. You will need to choose a new plan that is available in your area.
• Your health needs could change. If your health needs change, you may need to switch to a plan that offers different coverage. For example, if you start taking a new medication that is not covered by your current plan, you may need to switch to a plan that covers the medication.
